Shower Sigh

Shower, shower, what a bore
What a bother, what a chore
To wash
And bend
And shave and rinse
To do and done until and since
And then be wet for hours it seems
All in all and all to be clean
It's nice to be clean, but what a bore
What a bother, what a chore

  1. i wonder if it gets easier with time.
    habit?
    i'm not going to try.
i'm always going to shower 3-4 times per week
    and dread it.

  3. just wait until your little belly goes away and a baby comes out and a shower is the only sane time you get...and that's occasional, maybe you'll learn to appreciate it a little more.
    BTW, I like the poem.

  4. Agreed Katie...but when you have three kids...it's kind of nice to be in the shower...especially if you lock the door so they can't come it. The noise from the shower is enough to drown them out even if they're screaming, so it's quite peaceful. Sometimes I stay in an extra minute or two just for the peace of it all.

  5. Nice poem! :) Though it reminds me why I prefer baths.

  6. It's not that I mind showers, it's just that I don't like being wet afterwards. I have to admit, though, that sometimes the best inspiration comes while I'm in the shower. If I have a problem, sometimes that's where the answer comes to me.

  7. I agree. It is so nice to be clean, but I always just sit there putting off actually doing the work of getting clean.
